Games are a great way to reinforce obedience training and self control.  They are also ideal for relationship building between you and your dog.  Here are a couple of great games you can play with your dog and incorporate into your training program.

Retrieve
Retrieve is a great game to teach while incorporate exercise into your dog training program.
1.  Toss the toy (orbee tuff ball & tennis balls are very durable and great options)only a short distance - not too far or with too many distractions.
2.  Encourage the dog to bring the toy back to you - be creative and make yourself exciting!
3.  When the dog comes back with his toy, say "drop" and offer him a treat. 
4.  When the dog drops the toy, immediately say "yes" and give him a treat.  We are teaching him that he will get great things when he gives something up.
5.  The next reward is to then throw the toy again for him to retrieve.
